Caribbean Festival by WOB: Wolfram Ortner launches two further Premium Rums
The rum boom started in the year 2016 at the WOB Distillery, namely with a white and a blond Light Rum. Altogether six different barrels were produced in the first year, depending on the stylistics of the fermentation and distillation.
Since July 2016 the products have been stored predominantly in Limousin oak barrels. Two barrels each of CS (Cask Strength with approx. 57% vol.) and PR (PR (Premium Rum with approx. 41% vol) will still come on the market in 2020, followed by a PR (Double Matured) in 2022. The friends of rum can already look forward to the following 2020 editions and naturally buy them online via the shop www.wob.at .
Dark Premium Rum Batch 2
Caribbean lifestyle meets a firework of ideas from the Nock-Land – directed by Wolfram Ortner. The molasses rum was matured for more than four years in strongly charred Limousin oak. Typical sweet rum, fruit and ester and vanilla and wood notes present themselves „harmonically & multifacetedly“. Grande Furioso – with a fascinating finish on the palate. An exciting rum story! Dark Rum Batch 3 Cask Strength

The molasses rum was matured for more than four years in strongly charred Limousin oak and bottled in cask strength. Typical sweet rum, fruit and ester and vanilla and wood notes present themselves „as strong as an ox & multifacetedly“. Grande Furioso – with an extreme finish in a spirits glass and on the palate. WOB B Rum – Blond Rum 2016
Ortner’s first rum – in his favourite colour blond – is a sugar cane and molasses product, a blend from five different Limousin barrique barrels. Fine rum ester in the basis, embedded in wood and sweetness aromas, with a sophisticated black pepperyness in the top note. Light Rum Wood. Unfiltered. 500 ml, 41.5% vol., 62.50 Euros.
